The infant, wrapped in a cloth, was rescued by police after locals spotted him and raised an alarm. According to police, villagers noticed the baby inside the toilet near the culvert of Sadar Bazar around 8.30 pm and immediately informed Myana police.

The infant was rushed to the Myana Health Centre, where doctors confirmed he was breathing and provided first aid. He was later shifted to the district hospital and admitted to the SNCU ward.
